Communities

Our history is deeply entwined with that of the communities where we have our roots. As a long-term industrial project, we at Tenaris maintain our founding family’s conviction that the company’s continuing strength depends on an active participation that links our own development to that of the communities where the company resides.

This framework encompasses continuous commitment to promoting health and safety among our employees, to minimizing the impact of operations on the environment, to maintaining transparent relations with suppliers, customers, employees and local communities, and to working with local authorities and non-governmental organizations to promote education and foster self-reliance.

We are committed to improving the quality of life for those who live in the areas surrounding our plants. Working with local institutions to identify priorities and articulate actions, we help to build and equip schools, finance scholarships that reward academic excellence, sponsor cultural, sports and leisure events, improve medical and sanitation systems and promote employment. Through our community investments, we systematically encourage a connection with public and private organizations and the joint application of knowledge, experience and best practices.

Working through Fundación PROA in Buenos Aires and the Associazione per la Galleria d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea of Bergamo, Italy as well as through agreements with the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston and Mexican, Brazilian and Japanese cultural institutions, we promote cultural exchanges in our local communities through exhibits, seminars and other initiatives.
